Food Production In Nepal

There are many innovation that are being used in developed countries to provide food for city dwellers without sufficient farming land. The methods that are being is applied are called Hydroponics, Aeroponics, and Acqua-Culture. In hydropincs system food are grown in water solution rather then soil. The water solution has all the ingridient that a soil would have, and all one has to do is supply sufficient amont to the plant being grown but even that can be monitored by an electrical pump. Most of the tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, strawberry, egg plant, among other things (which are too many to list) are grown yearly in US with a market of about 4 billion dollars.

Aeroponics is a method of growing plants and herbs by hanging the plant in the air and spraying it with a solution with all the ingrident it needs. This method of food production is used by NASAfor astronauts when they are going to outer space.

Aqua-Culture is another one of the technique used for food production. In this method one would grow a fresh water fish (Taplia) along with plants together. This method have mutual relationship for both the fish and the plant. When you grow a fish in the tank, one know that it will have to clean its tank every so often. But in aqua-culture the tank waste in the tank are pushed out to the plant. The fish waste is plants food and the plant takes in all the waste and provides clean water to the fish. In this way they are helping each other.

These three method of food production would be great for food production in Nepal. This method would work very well in Nepal becuase its hill are full of water. Instead of water being contained within an area in Nepal and causing floods we can divert some of the water into a nearby village and used it for food production using one of the method I mention above. I really did my research regaurding this and it is a best solution for the district with food scarcity.

Another good thing about this method is it can be produce food year around, granted it takes longer to produce food in winter then in summer. However the time is only matter of few days versus the 6 months wait for mansoon.

Simple thoughts.

Every country in this planet deserves development. Nepal is one of the poorest country in the whole world and it is well known to many people. What can be done for the development? Not just economic development but all developments possible. Politicians tell the public what it wants to hear, not what is best for the country. No body can be blamed for any situations prevailed. Every person should be motivated towards development. In the early 90's Nepal growth rate was 5% per year. Where did it go? In a typical Nepali word we call it "sachetata". We still can come front but that is possible only after peace. When two different philosophies meet together there is 100% certainty that they will clash. There should be different thoughts to let world work but they can be together without fighting, can't they? Our country is seeing certain changes everyday, people fight, they kill, they protest,do bandhas but one thing if they are so motivated towards rights, bandhas for theirs future generation better life, why not they do something for their country? Koreans, after war contributed for theirs country so why not we?

Each of us are known to outside world as "Nepalese", but have we done something for the country from where we got that identity? There is a saying " First build up your interior then think about the exterior", you can put this phrase where you think it should be. Either you build yourself as good person within yourself or see what can be done for better Nepal, greater Nepal. Unity is a key for success and for unity we need peace, but where is peace? What is peace? we know peace? we've seen peace? We have lived with it earlier but never knew its importance but after its gone now we are looking for it. Every Nepalese dream of better Nepal, democratic Nepal: How can it be better if "we" don't take steps to make it better, will the country rise if hers fellow citizens do nothing and dream of better Nepal. Every Nepalese these days dream about "Peace", has anyone ever tried to bring inner peace? love yourself and others, if you love your countrymen think you are loving your country. President John Kennedy challenged the nation with his well-known appeal: ". . . ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."

Initiation

The hardest part of starting something new is taking the intiative to start somewhere, so here is my begining. I did not know how and where to start to show my love for Nepal so I want to dedicate this blog to my country Nepal and nothing else. I want to show the world and the Nepalese communities that the weakness we show as a country and how weak we really are. I want to show them our flaws and our strength. I want to show all that we Nepalese also do dare to dream to make our country prosporous country for our coming generation.

Well my HERE IT GOES.
